Forever - a 50 word photo-story

Most days, the air turned so blue that all she could hear was his voice lining her ears, bouncing off her battered brain. When he got back from the pub, she wished she could fold his own ears so tightly under the covers that his voice would be muffled forever.

Gosh Kathryn, this was powerful for so few words. One quibble - should it be fold HER own ears?

I think I meant 'fold his ears' without the 'own' bit. I hope that makes more sense although it probably throws my 50 word count awry!
