OTHER LIVES - A FIFTY WORD PHOTOSTORY

Sharon takes pictures of pebbles. She’ll move on to shells one day, or even the sea, but for now the pebbles are too fascinating. She imagines lives for them: the dreary stoniness of the grey ones, the soap opera dissatisfaction of the holey ones. And snap, she captures it all.

Sarah, I love this! I am continually amazed by how much one photograph says, how much can be said and felt in just 50 words. Glorious! Thanks for the inspiration <3

You are so very good at this! I looked at the picture for a moment and thought about what could be said in fifty words.

Well, you showed me. :)

Aw thanks, Alexandra and Marisa. Love seeing other people's takes on the 50 word too - is amazing how much you can say!

Elsie's funny. She thinks that when her finger presses down on the camera's button, the world stops, that the artificial whirring sound belongs to the earth grinding to a temporary halt on its axis. She thinks that she can string the moment out long enough to stop the incoming tide.
