He doesn’t say he disagrees. Later though, in his shed, he thinks about how she’s wrong. He swears the shed moves slightly. Nodding.

Hurrah!
The hallway echoes with expectation, the chandelier's droplets swinging in perpetual motion. He sits on the bottom step, chin in his palms, praying. Thinking. How long is it since anyone came? He taps his foot to the rhythm of his heartbeat. From the outside, it looks like any other shed.
That's one of the shortest stories I've ever read. I'm off to the shed now to think about what it means.
