Writing Prompts

I have decided to organise my prompts better so instead of putting them in posts which you sometimes don't get until the evening, if at all, they will now be in the sidebar right below my biog details. There may be several days up there at a time, if I'm not sure when I'll be around, but the prompt for each day will be clearly marked, and you will be able to access it at a time that suits you.

If you hate this idea, then shout and I'll revert back, but it seems to make sense to me!

Your new system makes perfect sense to me and just want to thank you for doing the whole prompt thing. I'm not sure why it works so well but it does. Perhaps knowing that the prompt comes from somewhere 'beyond' myself relaxes me into drawing on unconscious associations....that was far too deep for this time of the morning!

Thanks again.

Brilliant, Kathryn. I'm following them myself too - and it's weird how they work in exactly the same way they seem to work for you!

Yes, this sounds like a great idea, thanks Sarah for being so organised! It must be hard coming up with a different prompt every day, I'm glad we can leave that part to you, it certainly helps not having to think of something myself. So thanks again for your daily dose of inspiration, it's really working for me and my writing process.

I know I don't appear to use your prompts on my site, but they have prompted a fair few interesting bits in my notebook! Sometimes I use just parts of them, or flip them round or something, but they are always gratefully received! Thanks for sharing.

Blogger have finally added a way of scheduling your posts so you can plan ahead with prompts for example. Have a look at

Your prompts are great, and I was going to go through and organise them into a document myself, but I won't need to now :o)
