Cheerleader - a 50 word photostory

I said to my husband, ‘Brian, you never notice me anymore.’ ‘Did someone say something?’ he replied. I didn’t laugh. Next match day, I packed my pompoms and jumped the barriers. I’m waiting for him to pick me up from security now. Brian, I’ll say, did someone just do something?

Kelly had always been at the back in class. Later, she became a shadow cast across the darkened stage, removing props. But her stealthy, sliding soles hissed, giving her away. So she became a cheerleader and faced the audience head on. Stripped to nothing, she hoped for a warm front.
