Great Dixter - October

In September, I put up the first of a monthly series of photographs of Great Dixter. Now here are some from yesterday - a perfect Autumn day spent at possibly one of my most favourite places. There was a slight breeze too, and it was beautiful how the plants moved in the wind. A real living garden.

Wow so much colour, Sarah!

Up here in Scotland the world seems a lot less bright... grey and muddy and dull purple and the trees reaching black fingers into the air... Winter feels like it is already with us...

so, your bright flashes of colour, brightened my day.

Thanks Douglas - what I didn't say though was that our car got stuck in the mud and we had to get a tractor to pull us out, so winter is with us too!
