It's probably pretty obvious, even to casual visitors, that I'm a big fan of
the Shedworking blog. Obsessions of every kind do it for me, so I'm very proud to say that I've been commissioned to write a serial for The Shed magazine, the first part is out now. You can sign up for it
here. It features sheds, wicked witches and giant vegetables (but in a good way).

Okay -- so I knew you had this mild obsession about sheds and I tried not to think too much about it. But I finally went on the Shedworkers' blog and I have to admit, I'm hooked. The photos, the ideas...they're great. And now I must also admit that I too have a little shed that I work in on Martha's Vineyard during the summer which I love to pieces. I'll try to remember to take photos of it this July and post it, and I'll subscribe to the mag so I can read your and Patricia Debny's fantastic work!
Loved the story and I love The Shed magazine (so much love)
I have shed envy :(

Who knew there were so many Shed fans??! I recently stumbled upon Shedworking because I am in the process of getting my own writing shed (see the latest here) . I can't wait! Will go and get my copy of The Shed magazine and read part one of your story. What a wonderful thing to be asked to do. How in the world did you get that?? Maybe this could be the precursor to a Shed anthology?
Sue, send your shed to Alex - sounds perfect. The best ones are the eco ones on the site, I think. I love the idea of an extra room that's part of the landscape.
Yep, Caroline. I share your envy!
Tania - a shed anthology sounds just fine!! Shall we edit it together? Seriously.
Of course things really start to hot up in episode two, so don't forget to send in your subscribers' cheques early and often.
