EVEN EVEN MORE ON TYPEWRITERS

I will get over my obsession with typewriters one day, but not just yet. Please.

Here are some old ads - I love the wording perhaps even more than the pictures.

Because I know I would write incomparably beautiful words on this one...

... dress like this when typing on this one ...

... be happy with this one ...

... hmm, not quite sure what to say about this one apart from, boy, does it have attitude...

... and the best advice of all here - READ BEFORE YOU WRITE ...

OK, OK, it's typewriter porn. But I bet you enjoyed it too.

Didn't you?

Great posts . . . and wonderful early typewriter advertisements.

I have one fully-restored typewriter from each decade going from the 1900's through the 1960's.

I used them for correspondence, and people love receiving a letter typed on one.

I am thinking about it, Neil, but I do have a link to software that makes all the typewriter noises for your laptop! I'll try to dig it out. It's the visual side I love, how the letters actually rise up one by one.
And thanks, Frank. Love your website, and yes, I would love to receive a typewritten letter like that. Do you choose the decade appropriately!!!
