LOOKING AGAIN

STARE

It is the way
to educate
your eye,
and more.

Stare, pry,
listen and
eavesdrop.

Die knowing
something.

You are not
here long.

Walker Evans

And if you look again, the books above aren't real. It's a detail from my new beautiful painting.

See...

Not that I'm obsessed or anything. But really, is there anything better than books 'to furnish a room'?!

I love the book painting! It's much easier to keep clean. Now what do you do if one of the titles look intriguing?

What a coincidence! I saw one of these paintings in Lutyens & Rubinstein today for the very first time.

I was completely taken in by it at first, thinking they were real books and reminded of the fact that I keep meaning to read my copy of the Berger one. Later today, I saw a similar picture consisting of beer cans! Hows that for synchronicity?

How fun! We may be moving into a small apartment temporarily and I won't have room for my books so I may need to get a couple of these to make the place feel homey.
