the only reason you can read this is because you are already a skilled reader - if you were learning to read and had not met many of these words before and had no decoding skills at text, sentence, word or letter level this would be incomprehesible - try some of the scrambled words or sentences on a novice reader......

No matter how many times I've read that, it still amazes me.
Agree with anon, though. My son, who is learning to read, didn't know even the easiest of the words.
