Oh no, here it comes again....

.... the wanting, the needing.

Just when I thought I was safe with Nigella, my benches and the occasional shopping trolley, I'm halfway through Elspeth Thompson's wonderful Wonderful Weekend Book when the lust starts rising all over again.

Why have I never thought of learning to play the ukulele before?

It's all I have been able to think about today. And look, I can even make my own here.

My eldest son has a ukulele. I showed him the clip & he said it was really random (which I think is good) - I asked him if he could learn that tune but apparently you need more than one .....

The mind boggles. How do you find these things? Well, I never wanted to play the ukelele (too much Don Ho as a young girl, I suppose). But I did buy myself a banjo and 5 Pete Seager How-To books last year. I can play "This Land is Your Land" ( a song I've always hated) and that's it. Although it did give me the opportunity to scream out loud to my son: "I've got blisters on me fingers!"
