Oh my god, I had never heard him speak. He's one of my very favorite poets. Thanks for that! He didn't sound like he did in my head. I'm still adjusting.
Oh Ted, that must have been a shock. Adjusting in a good way? To me he sums up New York - the glamour of it. And I love how both him and Anne Sexton are smoking.
In a good way... well, I can't judge, just different, but so amazing to see him gesture and hear his vocal production as I had imagined it about 1000 times! I am an O'Hara freak!
Makes me so happy I put it up then.
I have this poem up above my desk so I can look at it while I work btw. An American friend gave it to me when I was in Virginia. Inspiring.
