Seeds - a 50 word story

Trust me, he says, and she doesn’t think twice, not even when he places the seeds on her tongue, calls her his little incubator. Her happiness is unbearable so she’s not surprised when she eventually explodes. She is a goddess, creating a new world full of creatures exactly like him.

I remember that picture or one very similar from before. I think we had a debate over what it was and I said that it was a passion fruit because we had one in our garden in our last house.

Anyway, they are fascinating things, like little worlds exploding on inside the casing. Seeds are a rich source of inspiration, aren't they?

It was sensible to sow the seeds rather than waste them. After all, peppers are expensive. She was delighted when they germinated. Next, she did it with an apple, then a plum, some chillies until eventually, it was anything with a seed. No one would say that to her again.

Eek yes, I've used it before but didn't think anyone would notice. However, this blog is a proud recycler!!!!

Brynn’s ma warned him. Not to eat pips from his apple. ‘They’re seeds,’ she told him. ‘Trees growing inside you if you eat the core’. Brynn thought ma was joking. Now he feels a stiffening inside, like he’s becoming wood, and Brynn hears the rustle of leaves when he moves.
