Some people got famous for just being famous. No, that wasn't how Susie wanted it to be. She wanted to blend into the background so much that with every turn of the tabloid page, she'd become more invisible. But they just kept on following her lead. She became a shadow.
The stands were no longer empty. Particles of light had appeared out of nowhere, coalescing into ghosts
intent on an unseen game. Hoots and hollers bounced off concrete walls, echoing through the vast stadium. And I had to weave through all these specters, muttering “Excuse me” like an idiot.
