My little dog died yesterday. She was brave, I wasn't. She's been part of this blog since it started which made me want to record her end here, but I don't really want to say any more just now.

Just wanted to say sorry.. losing a beloved pet is a painful thing to go through.
I'm so sorry. I've felt the pain of losing a cherished pet, too, so I know how much it hurts. My love to you in this horrible time.
I write this with my cat sitting on my knees, and I know how I would feel if something happened to him.

I often visit your wonderful blog but have not posted before. Just wanted to say how very sorry I was to hear about Tally. The pain of losing a much-loved animal companion goes very deep indeed.
Thank you all so much, and for all the private emails. I had worried about putting this up because somehow it's rather un-English (!) and I was worried it would feel like a call for sympathy but I'm pleased I have done. And privileged to have heard so many stories about other people's pets. Tally was very special to us - a friend made me laugh when I said that she had been very well loved, and my friend said 'loved? She was worshipped, and that was just by me!!!!' She's had a little Hitchcock moment in all of my novels, and many of my stories, so far - and I'm sure she'll continue to star.

I am so sorry, it is dreadfully sad when a beloved animal dies. My darling cat died recently, so many tears. I'm so glad you posted it.
